Big Reds Wednesday & Thursday. More Hedonism Friday - Sunday.

It's hedonism week at the Lab. It's the summer of 08 and the winemakers are on vacation - what's a Lab to do? Emphasize the delight in wine. The music is going to be a bit rowdier and louder. The wines are going to be bigger and less food friendly. We're going to end it all with a wine contest where winner takes all.

Big Reds Wednesday and Thursday
They are loved and cursed, but big red wine is what we often crave so let's give in.
Start off with your choice of BIG white wine and then on to....
Denner Ditch Digger - rare in-store tasting - 1 bottle/10 tastings only till it's gone
Two Hands Angels Share Shiraz - voluptuous fruit that goes on and on
Martin Ranch Syrah Reserve 2004 - the "Hulk" of syrah's
Uvada Merlot Oakville 2002 - so big you'd think it was a Cab
Plus a second chance to taste Orin Swift "The Prisoner" and more...

Friday & Saturday we will have more decadent reds including:
Orin Swift "Papillon" - the next phenomenon is born
Opolo Rhapsody Meritage - had to restock this one due to popularity

Sunday we finish it off with "Winner Take All"

It's a contest where you bring a bottle of wine to the store and all contestants vote on their favorite wine. We will accept up to 10 wine entries. The wine has to be a red meritage blend or varietal made of bordeaux varietals (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petite Verdot) and have a retail value of $25 or more. There is an entry fee of $25 for each bottle. The person who brings the most popular wine wins 80% of the kitty - $200 in a Wine Lab gift card! (Yeah, the lab keeps $50 for expenses.)
The wines will be numbered and placed in decanters. Only the entrants will be able to taste the wines (maybe significant others can sneak a taste).

In order to enter:

- Entries must have a retail value of $25 or more
- Your wine and $25 must arrive by 4:30 PM Sunday
- Voting occurs between 4:30 and 5:30 PM

The winner will receive the accolades they richly deserve and a $200 gift card.

Free Parking Validation For Customers

There are two dedicated spots outside of the entry gate - no need for validation. If those spots are filled, enter the garage and park in any visitor spot and we will validate your ticket. If someone is collecting a parking fee - tell them you are going to the Wine Lab and take a ticket.
