This Week: Cass Winemaker Event Thursday
Thursday brings new releases from Cass and the last case of 07 Viognier available. Come meet Ted, his new bride, and the new wines. We will pour 07 Viognier (sold out at winery), 06 Grenache, 06 Mourvedre, 06 Rockn' One, 06 Cabernet Sauvignon, plus a surprise! The Cab got Gold medals at the LA Fair and Concourse de Bruxelles European competitions, plus a 90 from Wine Enthusiast. It received a 4 star gold from the Orange County Fair Competition - 1 of only 22 awarded to 3,400 wines entered and the 05 Cab was the highest rated of the 22 that got this 4 star gold! Cass has been very supportive of the Lab and this will be a very fun event. Please join us in support of this unique winery and their wines.
Friday - Sunday: Mollydooker New Releases
Mollydooker makes fruit bombs and are proud of it. Sometimes that is just what we crave. Certainly the scores back up the quality of these wines. The Lab is lucky to have a small allocation this year as supplies have been reduced to retailers and Great Legs Wine previous purchases allowed us to be "granfathered." We'll have "The Violinist", "The Scooter", "The Maitre D", and "Blue Eyed Boy." Beware of big corporate wine merchants. They promote special sales, like a second bottle for 5 cents, but what you may not know is the price on the first bottle has been jacked up. These wines are industrially made and of poor quality. Please support the small wine shop in your neighborhood. The Lab believes in research. During the month of September, ChrisAnn is participating in the Race for the Cure. Her mom and aunt succumbed to breast cancer in their early 60's and ChrisAnn is running the OC Race for the Cure on Sunday, September 28th and raising funds for the Susan G. Customers
There are two dedicated spots outside of the entry gate - no need for validation. If those spots are filled, enter the garage and park in any visitor spot and we will validate your ticket. If someone is collecting a parking fee - tell them you are going to the Wine Lab and take a ticket.
