![]() Full Moon Wine Sale TODAY![]() It's a full moon and everyone is going crazy. Winery, broker and the Lab all cut our prices to give you one day savings on five wines. Taste them starting at 4:30 for $13 ($10 for Insider Club Members.)
This is a fun lineup of wines. The Trebbiano is better than any Pinot Grigio but still light and refreshing. Mounts wines are small production wines from a family winery. At their regular prices they are great values - the full moon prices are a steal. The Stonegate Cab is a knockout! Fruit from Napa's Vaca Mountain, it has evolved into a beautifully drinking Cab. Mags are great for any kind of dinner or event. Join the fun tonight at the Lab. Inexpensive WinesI've been searching for wines that are priced similar to grocery store wines but are better. I've found some nice wines from Argentina that deliver great QPR (quality price ratio). I think the Argentines have it all over the Chilean wine right now. They are all only $7.99 and in stock Friday: 2007 Maipe Chardonnay - (pronounced MY-PEY) blended with 14% Viognier gives it lively aromatics and a delightful finish! 2007 Maipe Sauvignon Blanc - this doesn't suck! Most cheap SB do, this one is refreshing and delish! 2007 Maipe Cabernet Sauvignon - amazing for the price - given 89 pts and I agree with that score. Other notable bargains: White Knight Viognier from Clarksburg, CA $9.99 Urban Uco Torrentes $10.99 - a great white wine that should go for $20. Saddlerock Chardonnay $10.99 - California Chardonnay at this price usually sucks. This is the best bargain in Cali Chard next to the Napa Cellars which is $4 more. 2005 Codice Tinto $10.99 - Yummy, oak aged tempranillo at a killer price. Castle Rock Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2007 $11.99 - I don't know how they make good Pinot for $12 but they do. Bogle Old Vine Zinfandel $11.99 - Amazing for the price. Bogle is family owned and owns all the vineyards. Amazing. Grand Tertre Bordeaux 2003 $12.99 - Smooth right bank Bordeaux at a French countryside table wine price. Give us a chance to be your source for inexpensive wine. You can taste many of these wines at the Lab and decide for yourself. We are even more selective on these wines because they have to be good. No one should drink a bad glass of wine but it's easy to do as there are oceans of bad wine out there. |

| Thursday Sept. 2 5:30 - 9 PM | Dragonette Cellars Winery Tasting Event At a recent wine show "The Stars of Santa Barbara" Dragonette Cellars stood out to us as offering some of the best wines from the area. They are young and new and making wine in their own way, organically and using a more natural approach. Winery partner Brandon Sparks-Gillis joins us as we taste their current releases of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, MJM and Rose. Tasting wine like this makes us excited. Come and experience some exceptional wine. $17. Drop by anytime that evening. |
