![]() Thursday: Great Santa Barbara Wine & Winemakers
Wine country comes to the Lab again this Thursday! Meet winemakers Joey Gummere and Mark Horvath (an OC native.) Kenneth-Crawford is making some of the best wines I tasted at this springs vintners festival. We will be pouring wine from the killer Larner vineyard: Grenache & Syrah, Pinot Noir from Babcock vineyard (a more luscious Pinot is hard to find) and more. We'll be offering special prices that night. Thursday June 11, 5 - 8:30 PM - $15. ($10 for Insider Club Members) RSVP desired but not required - info@winelabnewport.com Cheese of the Week: Mt. Tam![]() Cowgirl Creamery named its signature cheese MT TAM (Mt. Tamalpais is just north of San Francisco Bay.) It's a smooth, creamy, elegant, 10-oz, triple-cream - made with tasty organic milk from the Straus Family Dairy. MT TAM is firm, yet buttery with a mellow, earthy flavor reminiscent of white mushrooms. MT TAM won 1st Prize in the soft-ripened category at this year’s American Cheese Society competition. We are proud to offer this artisan cheese to accompany your wine tasting or to go. Our cheeses are competitively priced. Lakers
We are not a sports bar but when it gets this local, you can count on
us showing the game on the big screen.

| Thursday Sept. 2 5:30 - 9 PM | Dragonette Cellars Winery Tasting Event At a recent wine show "The Stars of Santa Barbara" Dragonette Cellars stood out to us as offering some of the best wines from the area. They are young and new and making wine in their own way, organically and using a more natural approach. Winery partner Brandon Sparks-Gillis joins us as we taste their current releases of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, MJM and Rose. Tasting wine like this makes us excited. Come and experience some exceptional wine. $17. Drop by anytime that evening. |
